Silly Smile

Sometimes I can be so, so silly! I don't even remember what I was doing this day...other than playing in the grass, of course... And then Mom picked me up, and I saw Grandpa with his camera... Whee!

Sleepy Smile

So very tired after a day of play... When I play, I play HARD... And I love to take a nap after a hard morning of playing... Ahhh life is soooo good!

Northern Lights

Nate called me before midnight to let us know that the Northern Lights were out. They were indeed, so I 'cleverly' put on a bathrobe, coat, slipped on some shoes, grabbed the camera, and went out to takes pics in the 7 degree night.

It's been a few years since we can say we saw the Aurora, and it was a pretty good show before they petered out around 2am with their fading, and some light fog rolling in... It wasn't until I went back in the house, that I realized just how cold it was outside, and that I probably should have put on some warmer clothes for this little photographic fiasco...

High Dynamic Range Pic of Cologne's Dom

An experiment combining three separate exposures into one using the free program, "FDRTools". Assuming you can properly get the images aligned, this will allow you to get an image that has a greater dynamic range than an ordinary camera can produce... Essentially, an image that is closer to what the eye can see... Notice, no greatly over or under exposed areas in the picture (the stained glass at the front of the Dom was highly over-exposed in the original photo, with the remainder of the Dom highly under-exposed).

A Very Berry Day

The sun finally came out, after a record number of rain-days in Anchorage... Hatcher Pass had tons of blueberries and other nice flowers!

Blue Flowers (bad to eat!)

Fireweed (good for jelly!)

And Blueberries (great to eat...yum)

Lots of red fingers, too...
